New Vocational Qualifications
New Level 3 vocational qualifications are now available in Fundraising Practice, Volunteer Management and Campaigning. A learner can study an Award, Certificate or Diploma within each of these qualifications to suit their learning needs. They have been developed in conjunction with Skills – Third Sector and through guidance with practitioners and training providers within the sector.
The Diploma is a fully comprehensive qualification and complies with the National Occupational Standards to ensure occupational competency. By stuyding a diploma you will learn the underpinning knowledge and competence skills to perform the job. The Award and Certificate are shorter and provide an introduction and intermediate breadth of knowledge to these key roles within the sector.
These qualifications can be taken by anyone and the units covered in the Diplomas have been approved as components for the Advanced Apprenticeship framework in Fundraising, Volunteer Management and Campaigning. Therefore an individual that has studied one of these Diplomas will have covered elements of the associated Advanced Apprenticeship.
Vocational qualifications (VQs) are work-related qualifications. They’re designed to allow you to learn in a way that suits you, and give you the skills that employers are looking for. Vocational qualifications are grouped together in different levels on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The levels range from ‘entry’ which is the lowest, to level 8 which is the highest. These new qualifications are all at level 3, which is roughly the equivalent of ‘A’ levels.
The Dipolma in Fundraising Practice, Volunteer Management and Campaigning is offered by Edexcel and EDI. The Award and Certificate is offered by Edexcel. For further information, please click on the links below.
